Hi Bunny,
Wonderful history of Ms. Roosevelt, and I love the quotes (and your “gimping’ skills!)
The quote about not feeling inferior without consent…I love this one. It really says that we have the choice in how we allows others words and actions affect us. And that’s so good to remember….

I’m an avid quote collector and I forget Eleanor was a power house of wisdom.

You did a great thing by connecting them to images and bringing them to life.

And let’s us not forget a small project of her, the Declaration of Human Rights

Eleanor Roosevelt

“Where, after all, do universal human rights begin? In small places, close to home – so close and so small that they cannot be seen on any maps of the world. Yet they are the world of the individual person; the neighborhood he lives in; the school or college he attends; the factory, farm, or office where he works. Such are the places where every man, woman, and child seeks equal justice, equal opportunity, equal dignity without discrimination. Unless these rights have meaning there, they have little meaning anywhere. Without concerted citizen action to uphold them close to home, we shall look in vain for progress in the larger world.”

…and the choices we make are ultimately our responsibility. I found this as my favorite. This what makes humans very unique than other living things on Earth. Our freedom of will is our power – we have the freedom to choose. By choosing we create responsibilities – and we must be responsible for it.
