Halloween Recipes: Witchcraft

It’s Witchcraft! Oy, I love this season. Can you tell? :)

In this installment of our Halloween recipes with video, we have been fueling up on fresh pumpkin recipes and I am one to use everything including the seeds which are really very healthy. Drying out pumpkin seeds and seasoning themĀ is one of my favorite things to do. The seeds can be flavored several different ways but today Bunny is going to make them sweet and spicy.

Why toss out the seeds of pumpkins when they make a delicious snack and topper for salads. The pumpkin season is what makes this so tasty, but remember, pumpkin seasoning is only cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves.

Pumpkin seeds also make a great party treat and are so simple to make.

I love pumpkin seeds and the chairman of the board, Frank Sinatra…

Hey Bunny,
I love pumpkin seeds…although I usually just have them plain. This sounds really good! Maybe it’s time to open up one of those pumpkins…

Hi Lance,

I love pumpkin seeds too.

We have gotten so many pumpkins this fall and I want to use them up. Including the seeds.

Nice to see you here. Hope you are staying warm. Crazy cold here in the Northeast. Defiantly frost on the pumpkins this morning.

I too love pumpkin seeds, never thought about putting them in a salad, maybe I’ll try that one.

Hope you’re not freezing too bad over there, it’s sunny and warm in Vegas ;)

Hi John,

I highly suggest that you give pumpkin seeds a try in your salad.

It is so cold here today. Frost was all over the ground when I let Bear out this morning. He made it a short run around the yard. THAT is how cold it is here!

Thanks for stopping by. Its always a pleasure to see you have.

Thanks, Bunny. Yeah my wife and I are talking about moving up to the Portland, OR surrounding area one day which gets more snow than we see here in Vegas. It’ll be a change, that’s for sure.

That’s funny about Bear. He must have been like, “What the heck is this going on, get me outta here! Oh wait, I need to pee first.”

:-D you’re right on with Bear.
We looked at a beautiful house on Long Island then got Bermuda on the brain.
I like the changing seasons but prefer sun and heat.

Oh I just love pumpkin seeds and with no kids at home to crave the pumpkins I have not given that joy a thought this year…still making tomato sauce from the garden ….My mum used to make donut holes too on Halloween night….Pumpkin seeds roasted without salt can help folks who are having problems with inflammation – seems to work best for men…women need more flower essences like – Hibiscus teas…

can we put your recipe in the Harvest Potluck ebook for UNICEF?

I am going to put the Korny Zucchini Pizza recipe in and a pumpkin lasagna from Book group.

See if you can find the book “Chanel: A woman of her own” by Axel Madsen.

It is the best book I have read about Coco.

I have loads of recipes if you would like more.

Hi Zeenat,

This is great I love them too. Your mom sounds a lot like mine, keeping a stash of pumpkin seeds in her purse.

I think everyone is more prone to eating healthier which is great.

Let me know if you like them and stay tuned there are more recipes to come ;)

love you xoxoxo
