I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. Thumper and I enjoyed four wonderful days of downtime. As you see, Bunny has had some minor cosmetic surgery (my blog for business women, not me). She is a little different, and hopefully you will find her more user friendly.
At the end of the year I think we all usually take a few moments to reflect. The good and the bad. Hopefully, the good outweighs the bad for all of us. I am also sure that if you look closely, the good has sometimes been taken for granted… It is all in how you have measured it.
Success has a variety of meanings for us. Life is no doubt a struggle to reach your goals. No matter how tough it may sometimes seem, staying aggressive and focused will ultimately get you there.
Step 1
Starting with determination and a positive mindset, you can conquer any of your goals. There is an importance of mind over matter here. You have to take into consideration that you need to be more self-disciplined. Do not be unrealistic with your goals, or expect others to be responsible for your success.
Step 2
Making a list of your goals is where to start your plan of attack. A reasonable time frame is important. Where do you want to be in 6 months, or at the end of the year?
Step 3
Find a way to give back to others or to the needy. This is a priceless feeling of achievement and believe it or not, it will help you value your success more once you’re there. It makes it worthwhile to share with others.
Step 4
Do not see a stumble as a plunge into the unknown, but an adventure to a new beginning. Be passionate in everything you do. This is life, there are no guarantees – except that you have the ability to make the most of it yourself.
I would like to hear how you measure success and what you feel is important to reach success. Please share your thoughts.
This quote is how I feel about it.
To laugh much and often; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of little children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you lived. This is to have succeeded.
- Ralph Waldo Emerson
