Have you ever had one of those days when everything that comes out of your mouth is wrong or gets twisted into an argumen?
I’m having one.
As my beloved boyfriend confirmed this morning it was been continued over from last night.
Last night I got all kicky with him for no apparent reason. Kicky is what he politely calls me when my lower lip sticks out and I’m ready to vocally have a royal rumble with him. I calmed down after taking a time out to the store. I really couldn’t see any point to the argument.
I really felt pretty bad jumping on him the way I did.
Then he asked me if I wanted to read something funny. Well of course I did.
Him being the gem of a guy that he is, showed me an article written by a woman. A very humorous but accurate description of the pains we go through monthly .
Now this didn’t set me off again. I was cool with it. What impressed me was his manor. He had deliberately showed me this because he knew my period was coming in the next week and this was his way of letting me know he knows my body and my habits. Also that he is sympathetic to what I am experiencing to a point. We know ourselves and how bad we can be when the hormones kick in.
Me on the other hand it only took me 2.2 seconds to scan my way down to the corner of the monitor to check the date. Sure enough – he was right.
It’s Astonishing What Your Man Can Do For You
I have to say, I wish all men were as understanding as mine is even though he was a little defensive this morning he still was loving.
I exercise regularly and don’t have severe PMS but I do have the breast sensitivity and the bloated feeling. The irritability of a bull having a red flag waved in front of him. Even some food cravings; sometimes it is the normal chocolate, but usually it is seafood salad and extra jalapenos on everything.
My girlfriend told me to cut out caffeine drinks and that helped with the painful boobs and if your beloved one is understanding, supportive and knows how to get to you by easing up things, he will be able to brighten even the hardest days.
So it seems like a cup of tea and a sympathetic boyfriend is the key – and not necessarily in that order.
